Edward Aubrey Clark (1906-1992) earned his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1928. In 1937, Mr. Ed, as friends knew him, attained the position as Texas’ Secretary of State. After leaving office, he began a law firm, which eventually became Clark, Thomas, Winters, and Newton, and served as legal counsel for future President Lyndon B.
